First, I want to wish a very happy birthday today (June 28) to my good friend Shane Clouse.

Lots of people in western Montana know Shane, not only for his years as a country music singer, songwriter and recording artist, but also for his work with Missoula Children's Theater. And of course, being a Missoula businessman, keeping the family tradition of the Pink Grizzly Greenhouse on Russell Street going strong.

Well, Shane (and where does he find the time?) has taken on another role in a movie based on a novella by L.J. Martin, who himself has deep roots in Montana. Those of you who love westerns should be eagerly awaiting the release of Eye For Eye.

Shane told me that when he agreed to be in the movie, he had no idea that his role would  take on such a significant one. He plays the part of Quint Reagan, who hung up his sheriff badge, sold his ranch, and with a Smith and Wesson Russian, two Colts, a Winchester and a coach gun set out to avenge the murder of his wife. Quint goes on the hunt for the corrupt men of the Triple R Ranch. The Triple R had a hundred riders. But he only wanted to tack the hide of seven to the outhouse wall. And the the powerful owner was one of them. Sometimes revenge is the best medicine for a broken heart.

Eye For Eye also stars veteran actor John Savage, best known for his roles in the films The Deer Hunter, The Onion Field, Hair and Salvador. He is also known for his role as Donald Lydecker in the TV series Dark Angel.

Shane says to his knowledge, no official release date has been set, but he believes that the fall of 2021 is realistic. Here's hoping it's a big success.

LOOK: The most famous actress born the same year as you

Many of the actresses in this story not only made a name for themselves through their collection of iconic performances, but also through the selfless, philanthropic nature with which many of them approached their stardom. In an age of flipping the script on societal norms, many of these actresses are using their voices and platforms to be advocates for those who are otherwise unheard.
