My Experience Buying a Home in the Bozeman Area
Purchasing a home in the Bozeman area has become increasingly difficult. Many have accepted a longer commute to work by buying homes in Belgrade and Manhattan.
I speak from personal experience. I have been searching for a new home for almost a year. The market is very competitive. Most people don't have a large sum of cash to buy a home, and in the Bozeman area, that is leaving people at a disadvantage. In my search for a new home, I have been pushed out of the conversation by cash offers. That seems to be a common theme lately. If you don't have cash in hand, your search for a home will most likely be a complicated one.
I am happy to announce that after an extensive search, I finally found a house that I love. It's not in Bozeman, it's in Manhattan. To be honest, I'm okay with that. When it was first listed, there were five offers within 24 hours. One of those offers happened to be an all cash offer. I was instantly discouraged because I knew that I couldn't compete with a cash offer. I ended up getting really lucky, as the cash offer fell through. It gave me a second chance to buy the house I wanted, and I jumped at it. The good news? My offer was accepted, and I'm scheduled to close at the end of February. I honestly couldn't be more excited.
After all of the time and effort I put into finding a home, I finally found one. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Real estate is a great investment if you're able to afford it. As the growth continues, Belgrade, Manhattan, and Three Forks are becoming more attractive to buyers.
