The New Pornographers have given us a new album nearly every three years since their debut, Mass Romantic, and 2017 will be no exception. Today, they announced plans to release the follow-up to 2014’s Brill Bruisers this year, as well as a three-week tour of the U.S. to promote it.

On this stretch, they’re sticking to the Eastern and Central Time Zones, beginning at the First Avenue in Minneapolis on April 18 and wrapping it up on May 6 at Stubb’s in Austin. Waxahatchee will open all 15 shows. You can see the full itinerary below and get complete ticket information at the Tour section of their website.

As for the new record, their seventh, there’s no other information given in the press release we received, but they say that details will be released soon. However, on Jan. 27, guitarist Todd Fancey will release his third solo album, Love Mirage. You can listen to “Baby Sunshine,” which is heavily influenced by the glory days of early-‘70s AM pop, here.

Brill Bruisers arrived with its own signature blend of coffee; however, it also marked the departure of drummer Kurt Dahle after 15 years in the group. He was replaced for the tour by Joe Seiders.
