A Bozeman woman was arrested on July 5 for possession of meth and when police arrived at the scene they learned that she sprayed two people with bear spray while in an argument.

At just after 2:00 p.m. officers were dispatched to a College Street address because of a report that someone had used bear spray on another individual.

While at the scene police spoke with the suspect who admitted to spraying her husband and another woman over a dispute involving a backpack.

Despite the suspect's claim, Bozeman police concluded there was no need to use the bear spray in self defense in order to create a hazardous condition.

According to police, this is the third time since July 28 that this woman has used bear spray on another person while in a dispute.

During a search of the woman's belongings, officers found a pipe containing apparent residue. A test was then conducted which reportedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

She has been charged with Felony of Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
