On November 3, Bozeman Elementary voters will decide on bond issues to renovate and expand Hawthorne Elementary and Sacajawea Middle School. The District will be hosting public events on October 6 - 8  so interested voters can hear more about the projects, ask questions and provide feedback. Details here:

Tuesday, October 6, 6pm: Sacajawea Middle School Library
Wednesday, October 7, Noon: Bozeman Public Library
Thursday, October 8, 6pm: Hawthorne Elementary Library

According to a Bozeman School District press releases, the proposed improvements to Sacajawea Middle School include additional classroom space, larger common areas, and expanded health enhancement and music rooms.  Building code, safety, and energy updates will also be made to existing interior spaces.

The proposed improvements to Hawthorne include replacing the existing temporary classrooms with a permanent addition, moving the lunch room out of the basement, relocating the school's main entrance to improve school security, and providing an elevator for second floor accessibility.

A reminder that this year's ballots will be mailed on October 19 and can be returned by mail or in person to the County Election Office.
