Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant Jokes About Greta Van Fleet Singer: ‘I Hate Him!’
When Led Zeppelin legend Robert Plant is a fan of your band, that’s a badge of honor you can wear for the rest of your life. Though many comparisons have rightfully been made between Led Zeppelin and up-and-coming rockers Greta Van Fleet, Plant has shown respect for the group, though he took the opportunity in a recent interview to poke fun at the Michigan rockers.
Plant recently performed multiple shows at Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House. While doing an interview with Channel Ten, Plant discussed Greta Van Fleet and singer Josh Kiszka. “There’s a band in Detroit called Greta Van Fleet, they are Led Zeppelin I. Beautiful little singer, I hate him!” Plant joked.
“He borrowed [his voice] from somebody I know very well, but what are you going to do? At least he’s got a bit of style, because he’s said he based his whole style off Aerosmith,” Plant said while rolling his eyes.
Plant has been supportive of Greta Van Fleet and Josh Kiszka in the past, telling Louisville radio station 91.1 WFKP, “He’s pretty good. There’s a job somewhere for him.”
Even some old school Led Zeppelin fans have had trouble distinguishing between the voices of Plant and Kiszka, as a new YouTube ‘Elders React’ video proved with peak hilarity.
