Slick Commute From Butte to Livingston Friday Morning
Enough snow has fallen overnight and this morning for very slushy conditions to develop on area roadways, prompting a Special Weather Statement for a slick commute. Use caution!
According to the National Weather Service:
- SNOW COVERED ROADS MAY IMPACT MORNING COMMUTE.
- MODERATE SNOW DEVELOPED EARLY THIS MORNING ALONG SECTIONS OF INTERSTATE 90 FROM HOMESTAKE PASS TO BOZEMAN PASS.
- ALTHOUGH SNOWFALL IS ENDING, IT PRODUCED A SLUSHY SNOW ACCUMULATION ON ROADS THAT IS LIKELY TO IMPACT THE MORNING COMMUTE.
- LOCATIONS AFFECTED INCLUDE ELK PARK, WHITEHALL, BELGRADE, BOZEMAN, AND FOUR CORNERS.
- CONDITIONS CAN DETERIORATE RAPIDLY IN WINTER WEATHER SITUATIONS.
- BE PREPARED FOR SNOW OR ICE COVERED ROADS.
- SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME WHEN TRAVELING.
