If you received a call from someone claiming to be holding a son, daughter or grandson or granddaughter for ransom, the FBI is warning that it is most likely a scam.
The FBI Office in Salt Lake City issued a press release on Thursday afternoon after a Wednesday action in East Missoula resulted in the arrest of two men.
A man drove from Long Island, New York, into Lower Manhattan earlier today in a van he thought was filled with explosives. He parked the van close to the Federal Reserve building, just a few blocks from the World Trade Center, and planned to detonate it using a cell phone from a nearby hotel.
The explosives, however, were fake.
Bozeman residents are again the target of an internet scam, aimed at scoring your money because "you've been locked out of your computer". The emails look very official but don't be fooled. Details from BPD here:
