The Bozeman Police Department made their latest round this past weekend making sure that area businesses that serve alcohol, did NOT sell alcohol to underage patrons. 17 of 21 businesses passed. Read the full press release here:

Some folks are weary of "the fuzz". I am not one of those people. The men and women of the Bozeman Police Department that I've encountered over the many years living here has always been a good experience, even on the rare occasion that the circumstances were bad and I NEEDED them.

As much fun as Bozeman has with the printed Police Reports in the paper, I've got to assume that more than a couple of these responses have been used when Bozeman's finest are just trying to do their jobs. Let's be honest: People in Bozeman do STUPID things and deserve a few days in the pokie.

BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Authorities in Montana say a standoff ended with the death of a handcuffed suspect who hit a Billings police officer with his own patrol car before the officer opened fire.

Bozeman High School was on lock down for a period of time late this morning. IT IS NO LONGER ON LOCK DOWN. According to Police, there was a suspicious person on the streets on Main Street by the school.

Bozeman residents are again the target of an internet scam, aimed at scoring your money because "you've been locked out of your computer". The emails look very official but don't be fooled. Details from BPD here:

The Bozeman Police Department is looking for your help to solve a crime spree across the city. With this particular spree, no one has been seriously injured but property damage is serious and one biker received minor injuries.
