How cool is Slash? The legendary guitarist recently jammed with some young students from the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They performed Guns N' Roses' version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", like a real life "School of Rock" (one of my favorite movies ever). Check it out:

Slash's humanitarian side is shining through again as the guitar great has used his celebrity to sway fans toward a new campaign aiming to combat the slaughter of sharks.

One of the toughest things a classic rock artist has to deal with is working up a new batch of songs only to have the press focus exclusively on your past. Slash has found a way to ensure that the focus is on his most recent work and not Guns N’ Roses, by limiting discussion about it.
