Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and Queen guitarist Brian May are collaborating on an album of strictly cool riffs?

There's no release date yet and It's unclear exactly how it will work, but it sounds like we just have an album full of guitar riffs by legendary guitarists Tony Iommi and Brian May. The Queen guitarist made the revelation in the latest issue of Kerrang!, in which a number of fellow musicians pose questions to May. Apparently, he came up with the idea after visiting Tony's studio and seeing how many unreleased recordings he had. May said, quote,

I thought it would be great to make a compilation out of them. The idea was to put all these riffs out in some form so that people could build their own songs from them. You could make your own music with Tony Iommi on guitar!

There's no timetable for the album yet. Black Sabbath's new album, 13, is supposed to come out in June (their first new album with Ozzy Osbourne since Never Say Die! in 1978).
