So I had no idea that you could actually, like, own a fire truck. I thought for sure fire trucks could only be owned by a fire department, not just any random dude on the street.

Turns out, I was wrong! Nine years ago, Missoula man Gabe Silverman took to the internet and ended up buying his own fire truck out of Ohio. It sounds like the family has gotten a lot of use out of the truck, which often sits in their driveway and has become a unique sight in their neighborhood.

But now, the Silvermans are officially selling the fire truck, and have listed it on Facebook for $7500 (which, speaking as someone who knows nothing about how expensive fire trucks are, seems like a huge bargain).

It's the end of an era for the Silvermans and their neighborhood, but it could be the beginning of one for you - who wouldn't want to own their own fire truck? It's like a six-year-old's fantasy come to life!

I mean, you might need to take some time to learn how a fire truck actually works - how to control the water, the engine, the ladder, and all of that stuff. But it sounds like it's worth it, at least based on how well the truck has served the Silverman family for these past nine years.

Think you'll be putting in an offer to buy the fire truck from the Silvermans?
