Watch Led Zeppelin’s Record Store Day Release Trailer
Led Zeppelin has unleashed a trailer promoting their 2018 Record Store Day release, the band's first. It highlights new mixes of “Rock and Roll” and “Friends.” Watch it in the player above.
The yellow 7” record features previously unreleased mixes of the two classic Zeppelin tracks. The “Sunset Sound Mix” of “Rock and Roll,” which appeared on Led Zeppelin IV and the “Olympic Studio Mix” of “Friends,’ from Led Zeppelin III were both produced by Jimmy Page.
Record Store Day is tomorrow (April 21) and will see the release of a slew of records including vinyl from A Perfect Circle, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie and many more.
To celebrate Led Zeppelin's 50th anniversary, the group reissued the 2003 effort How The West Was Won, which captured their 1972 tour at the Los Angeles Forum and Long Beach Arena. The set features three remastered CDs, four 180-gram vinyl LPs, DVD featuring a Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound mix, a book of previously unpublished photos and more. For more click here.
While so many fans would love to see a Led Zeppelin reunion tour, vocalist Robert Plant is not interested in digging up the past. He recently said, "If I didn't [move forward], I'd be a whore, and I'm never going to be that. I'm only a singer, and therefore I can get bored really quickly. And if I get bored really quickly, what am I doing nearly 70 years old being bored? No chance. So I move on all the time."
