Winter Weather Advisory for Missoula Area Until 9pm
The Missoula area and Bitterroot Valley may see a fast moving front this afternoon, that may not bring much snow but may cause temperatures to drop quickly and ice to form on roads.
According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR BITTERROOT VALLEY AND MISSOULA.
- IMPACTS/TIMING: LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW IS REDEVELOPING IN THE MISSOULA VALLEY AND CONTINUES IN THE BITTERROOT VALLEY.
- A COLD FRONT WILL PASS THIS AFTERNOON THAT WILL BRING COLDER TEMPERATURE,
- A PERIOD OF HEAVIER SNOW, AND THE THREAT FOR ICE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
- SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 1 TO 2 INCHES DURING THE AFTERNOON WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.
