Yellowstone star Dawn Olivieri has filed a lawsuit against numerous people who she says have been making allegations that she has abused horses, claiming they are spreading lies and damaging her branding partnerships.

Olivieri plays Sarah Atwood on Yellowstone, a character that Paramount described as a "confident, corporate shark and a new arrival to Montana." Atwood began a romance with wayward son Jamie Dutton during the first part of Season 5.

Olivieri devotes much of her offscreen time to Moon Mountain, a non-profit that she founded to rescue animals. The organization's website says its mission is to "provide land, shelter, food, care, and love to any rescue animal who needs and deserves a second chance." Olivieri has a special focus on rescuing kill pen horses.

According to TMZ, Olivieri filed a lawsuit in July against several online influencers in the horse community, claiming they have spread false information that she has forced horses at Moon Mountain to drink dirty water, supported horses being starved and even allegedly killed newborn Arabian horses.

Olivieri's filing states that the allegations have harmed her partnerships with various brands, including Dickies, with whom she says she had a promotional campaign set up before various individuals engaged in a coordinated campaign to discredit her.

Olivieri says she attempted to reach out to the various parties privately before filing suit, but her efforts were rebuffed. Her lawsuit also alleges cyberstalking, trespassing at Moon Mountain and even making terroristic threats, which she says stems from one of the defendants saying she could be "unalived."

Olivieri previously played the role of Claire Dutton on the Yellowstone prequel 1883. Prior to that, she played the role of Lydia in Heroes, and she also starred as Monica Talbot in House of Lies.

Her other credits include True Blood, the Vampire DiariesStargate: AtlantisHow I Met Your Mother and more.
