'Yellowstone' Ratchets Up the Drama in New Season 5 Teaser

Yellowstone is ratcheting up the drama as it heads into the second half of Season 5. A newly released teaser clip for the new season includes drama between Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), who appear to be headed for a final confrontation.

Paramount Network released a new teaser for the upcoming second half of Season 5 on Friday morning (Aug. 30), in advance of the much-anticipated new episodes.

The teaser begins with Kevin Costner in character as John Dutton, talking about the family's legacy, then progresses into someone brandishing a knife, while Kayce (Luke Grimes) tells Monica (Kelsey Asbille) that what he's been doing is "not for the ranch, it's for us."

Rip (Cole Hauser) and Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith) also talk about how they've spent their entire lives on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, while Beth shoves someone — perhaps Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri)? — against a wall.

Jamie and Beth also threaten each other in the new Yellowstone teaser in a way that seems ominous, given their complicated history:

Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 will premiere on Paramount Network on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 8PM ET. Fans can catch up on past seasons over the Labor Day weekend; Paramount will air Seasons 1-5 in a marathon that begins on Friday (Aug. 30) at 10PM ET and runs all day through Monday (Sept. 2).

Kevin Costner is not returning to Yellowstone for the second half of Season 5, according to reports, and Paramount had announced that the new episodes would bring the show to an end. However, according to Puck News, Paramount has changed its mind about canceling Yellowstone, and Hauser and Reilly are in talks to continue in their original roles in Season 6.

Paramount has not commented on that reporting.
