Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will host a public meeting on Tuesday, March 3 in Three Forks to discuss mountain lion management and tentative quotas for the 2015 mountain lion hunting season in Region 3.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is issuing an important reminder: Whether state or federally managed ground, it’s important to keep in mind that public lands belong to everyone. They are also asking people who use these lands to pick up after themselves and leave no trace.
According to a press release from MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Mallards Rest Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Yellowstone River south of Livingston and Valley Garden FAS on the Madison River south of Ennis have both reopened to the public.
The public is invited to an open house with Montana Fish & Wildlife Commissioners on Wednesday, October 15, at FWP Region 3 Headquarters in Bozeman (1400 S. 19th Ave.). The public is welcome to drop in at any time between 6 pm - 8:30 pm to visit with Commissioners, ask questions and present thoughts on various issues.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks’ Region 3 Citizens’ Advisory Committee will meet in Bozeman on Thursday, August 14 at the FWP Regional Office (1400 S. 19th Ave.) from 12:30 – 4 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
From 8 am Wednesday, July 30 to midnight on Thursday, July 31, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will close the Big Hole River to launching and floating from Greenwood Bottoms Fishing Access Site to 1,000 ft. below Silver Bridge.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking for volunteers for its annual Dome Mountain Clean-Up Day, co-sponsored by the Park County Rod and Gun Club, on Saturday, June 7. Volunteers will be cleaning up old fencing that are dangerous to wildlife on this important elk winter range.
