Sunday could be very slick while traveling over Homestake Pass or in the Georgetown Lake area with several inches of snow possible with a Winter Weather Advisory.

According to the National Weather Service:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MISSOULA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND SLICK ROADS... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 3 PM MST SUNDAY.

IMPACTS/TIMING: LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT, BECOMING MODERATE AT TIMES SUNDAY MORNING.

ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL LEAD TO SLICK AND SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS, ESPECIALLY OVER MACDONALD AND HOMESTAKE PASS AND IN THE GEORGETOWN LAKE AREA. VALLEYS WILL ALSO SEE LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BY LATE SUNDAY MORNING.

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 2 TO 4 INCHES OVER MACDONALD AND HOMESTAKE PASS AND IN THE VICINITY OF GEORGETOWN LAKE. 1 TO 3 INCHES IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... BUTTE... GEORGETOWN LAKE... HIGHWAY 12 GARRISON TO ELLISTON... HOMESTAKE PASS... MACDONALD PASS
