200 Inspired Montana Artists Joining Together For the Holidays
We've known each other for a couple of decades, so you probably realize by now that I go bananas for the holidays. Not just Christmas, all three of 'em, Thanksgiving, all of December, and New Year's Eve. With the holiday season at our house extending to mid-January for two important birthdays - our son's, and Dave Grohl's. I just love a season where people are a little nicer to each other and there are days off work with the intended purpose of you staying home to drink cocoa and snuggle with the people and pets you love the most.
So it's not about the gifts and shopping, but I do love buying and gift-giving during the holiday season. An absolute cannot miss for holiday shoppers is the annual Missoula MADE Fair at the Adams Center. More than 200 artists and crafters are featured and you'll find everything from t-shirts and clothing to functional works of art. Everything is made in Montana, most of it Montana-centric, with an impressive variety of unique items. The kind of stuff that will make your loved ones wonder where you got it. This year's MADE Fair will be on Sunday, December 12th, with VIP hour from 10 to 11 a.m., and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. VIP passes to shop early are $10 with proceeds going to a local non-profit. A note from organizers:
Please bring a non-perishable food item to help support the Missoula Food Bank. Presented by handMADE Montana—recently named Retailer of the Year by the Made in Montana Program.
Want to have your creations featured at the Holiday MADE Fair? Better hurry, the deadline is October 1st. Happy crafting and Happy Holidays, see ya there!
