The Lost Bozeman Businesses That Locals Miss the Most
If you've lived in Bozeman a while, you've probably noticed that the only real constant has been change. The city has evolved, and instead of farm fields and wildlife, you're most likely to see boutique shops, condos, and luxury housing.
Before all of the new additions, Bozeman was much smaller and was home to certain businesses and places where locals used to gather.
We recently asked our listeners on Facebook to fill in the blank: “You know you’ve lived in Bozeman a long time if you remember _________ was still open.”

Locals were quick to tap into nostalgia and named several places that have closed throughout the years. Here are a few long-lost businesses that Bozeman residents miss the most.
Some people miss when Cactus Records was located downtown on Main St. before it moved further west.
Several restaurants and bars were mentioned, including Soby's, 4Bs, KO's, The Robin, and Spanish Peaks/Black Dog Brewery.
A few locals miss going to the movies at the Starlight Drive-In on N. 7th Avenue, shopping at Gibson's or Kmart, the old hospital downtown, or a big stuffed bear at the Gallatin Valley Mall (now Gallatin Crossing).
Personally, I miss going to Frontier Pies with my family. They had the best pie around, and I often find myself craving a slice of sour cream raisin pie. I know it sounds weird, but it's one of my favorites.
