Over the years, several businesses that were once extremely popular in Bozeman have closed.
It's a hard time to be a small business owner in Bozeman. Workforce issues are a major problem. Finding employees that actually want to work is a constant struggle for local business owners. Those struggles have been amplified as a result of the pandemic.
Bozeman has changed a lot in recent years, and sadly, many businesses that were once loved by locals are no longer around. Many long-time residents feel that much of the change isn't for the better. If you've lived in Bozeman for a while, you've most likely noticed how much things have changed. If you're a newcomer, you may not notice it as much.
I used to spend a lot of time and a good chunk of my paycheck at Hastings. I was absolutely devastated when the location in Bozeman closed for good. I also have many fond memories from the Stockyard Cafe before it closed. Sadly, those businesses, as well as many others, have disappeared.
