One of Bozeman's most recognizable historic buildings has officially been listed for sale.

A famous building located at 533 E. Mendenhall St. in Bozeman has been listed for sale. The building was the former home of the Wax Museum, a locally loved independent record store. The shop closed earlier this year following the unexpected death of owner, Kels Koch.

Locals refer to it as "the building with the big round window," and it is considered one of the most recognizable structures in Bozeman. According to the listing, the building dates back to 1910 and has been updated with modern lighting and new wood finishes.

Bozeman Round Window House Property Details

  • 1,267 square feet
  • 8,400 square foot lot
  • Built in 1910
  • One block north of Main Street

The property is currently listed for $1,290,000 and is classified as commercial. The price may be steep, but it's a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a historic piece of Bozeman that's overflowing with character.

While I loved going into the Wax Museum and buying records, I'm excited to learn what the next era of the building will look like. It's a really cool place with a lot of potential.

For longtime residents and music lovers, the building is an important landmark. Since it's listed as commercial, it would be ideal for office space, studio use, or a small business.

If you'd like to learn more about the building, check out the full listing on the Bozeman Real Estate Group website.
