Summer is right around the corner, which means many people in Montana are already making travel plans. If you're flying out of the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, there's an important update you need to know about before you book that trip.

Delta Airlines has revised its previously announced seasonal service from Bozeman to Atlanta. The airline had planned to offer twice-daily flights during the summer, beginning June 22 and continuing through Labor Day, but those plans have changed.

Since the original announcement, Delta has revised its planned seasonal service to Atlanta, GA (ATL). The previously announced twice-daily service, scheduled to operate June 22 through Labor Day weekend, will no longer move forward as originally outlined.

Instead, Delta will continue with daily flights Monday through Friday and twice-daily flights on weekends. So, if you're planning a weekend trip or something longer, you'll still have plenty of options, just not as many as originally expected.

Delta is also launching new service from Bozeman to Austin, Texas, beginning June 13, 2026, with Saturday-only service during the summer. That will expand to daily service from December 19, 2026, through March 28, 2027.

That's a big deal, especially for winter tourism. After this past winter, businesses across the state that rely on it could use all the help they can get. On the flip side, maybe you want to escape Montana to a place that's a little less harsh during the winter.

Austin is a great time. I went there for a concert with a few friends, and we even caught a show at Comedy Mothership. Also, if you love barbecue, Texas is where it's at. I've been wanting to go back, so I might have to take advantage of the expanded service out of Bozeman.
