Eagle Mount Seeking Volunteers for Nordic and Alpine Ski Programs
Eagle Mount Bozeman provides quality therapeutic recreational skiing adventures for people with disabilities and young people with cancer right in our backyard. Eagle Mount works in cooperation with Bridger Bowl, Big Sky and Moonlight resorts to provide lessons from qualified volunteer instructors. Would you like to improve your own skills while giving back to the community in a special way? Eagle Mount is seeking volunteers:
The Bridger Bowl and Bohart Ranch program need volunteers for eight weeks beginning mid-January. The Big Sky program needs volunteers all season, starting on Thanksgiving. Potential volunteers need to be intermediate skiers/snowboarders and above.
For people who do not ski or snowboard, volunteers are needed with the cross-country and snowshoeing program at Bohart Ranch. The lesson times for all snow programs are approximately 2.5 hours. New volunteers are asked to attend a new volunteer orientation and on-hill weekend training. Volunteers will be taught about disability awareness and given instruction on how to work with people with varying disabilities. Volunteers will be provided a ski pass for the days volunteered.
