If you're interested in knowing more about the history and heritage of Gallatin County, plan on attending one of two FREE talks scheduled for September 3rd and 10th at the Pioneer Museum of Bozeman.

Museum Director John Russell will give an overview of the area's past, from Native Americans to some of the more significant events in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. "Whether you're a newcomer to the area or a life-long resident, I think you'll find items of interest in this presentation," says Russell. He went on to say the hour and a half talk will include a look at the men and women who forged the community. Russell says, "some were model citizens, others were out and out characters."

Each talk begins at 9:30 a.m. and is part of the Pioneer Museum's "month of
free Saturdays," where all admission fees are waved each Saturday in
September.
