It’s National Mentoring Month: Thrive Looking For Local Mentors
National Mentoring Month is celebrated every January and you can participate by volunteering to be a mentor for Thrive. Thrive's Child Advancement Project (CAP) program is looking for mentors for local kids and they are in need of over 100 more volunteers.
Being a mentor just takes one hour a week to meet with the same student one-on-one and give social and academic support. Mentoring increases class participation, attendance and academic performance.
Thrive's program provides over 600 kids grades K-12 with mentoring in the Bozeman and Big Sky areas.
