
Butte Carnival Incident: Here’s What We Know.
I grew up in a town with a State Fair.
In fact, my first job was working at the State Fair. I would work all day and into the evening, then go hang out with my friends near the midway afterwards and ride the rides, play the games, and make some great summer memories.

For the most part, these traveling carnivals are safe. However, from time to time, a serious injury happens, and even though they are rare, when it happens, it's all over the news.
Unfortunately, Sunday afternoon in Butte was one of these rare incidents.
When happened at the carnival in Butte?
Law enforcement were called to the Butte Civic Center on Sunday afternoon after reports of a teenager falling from a carnival ride. The reports turned out to be true, and we now know that a male teenager received serious injuries from the fall.
According to police reports, police, fire and rescue, and ambulance responded to the call that came in at 3:09. The ride in question was shut down and cordoned off and as a precaution, the rest of the carnival rides were shut down as well.
There is an investigation talking place and at the time of this writing, there is no new update on the status of the victim.
According to multiple sources, the majority of injuries that do take place are minor with things like scrapes and cuts leading the way. It is important to make sure that when children ride these rides that they meet both the height and weight requirements.
