Downtown Bozeman is the perfect place to do all the classic “in town” Montana activities. You can grab a nice dinner, shop for a new outfit, check out local art, or stop for one of those fancy coffees that somehow costs more than lunch. I used to work right off Main Street, and I quickly learned that the biggest challenge downtown is not deciding where to eat. It is figuring out where to park.

To be fair, parking is a small inconvenience in the big picture. Still, it is something people love to talk about. I will also say the number of folks who struggle with parallel parking might deserve its own research study. Now the city is actually asking people what they think.
The Downtown Bozeman Urban Renewal District, working together with the City of Bozeman, has launched an online community survey focused on parking in the downtown area. The goal is to gather feedback from the people who use it the most.

Anyone is welcome to take part. That includes visitors, residents, employees, business owners, delivery drivers, and anyone else who spends time downtown. The responses will help shape a long term plan for improving the experience.
The survey will stay open until March 30, 2026. People who complete it can also choose to enter a drawing for one of five downtown themed prize packages. Each one includes $100 in Downtown Dollars and a free eight-hour parking pass for the Bridger garage.

If you have ever circled the block a few times looking for a spot, now might be your chance to weigh in. If you would like to take the survey, you can find it HERE.
