
Montanans Rank Near The Top For Stress Induced Illness
Since the beginning of time, mental health and physical health have been related. However, up until recently, Montanans didn't talk about the mental part of it. Nor did we seek help if we were suffering.
In recent years, things have changed and more people are coming forth and talking about mental health and how it can effect your body in ways that you might not have been aware of.

What was once something that was kept hidden, nowadays folks are not only talking about their mental health, many are on medications to help deal with it. While there are several factors involved, one of the biggest is stress.
Not only can stress affect your mental health, but it can do the same to your body.
Here in Montana, many residents struggle with stress. From the high cost of living to matters with family and careers, stress is a key factor. In fact, according to data, almost 18 percent of Montanans deal with mental distress and and 14 percent deal with physical distress.
Where does Montana rank when it comes to stress?
The folks over at Burning Daily came out with a list of the most stressed states in the country which came from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Montana is one of the most stressed states in the country.

For those who are curious, Big Sky Country ranks 7th in the country for the most stressed state when it comes to both mental and physical distress. Oh, and not only are we 7th, but we are number one in our region.
