2 Montana Pups With Heartbreaking Story Available For Adoption

If you're anything like me, you might like animals more than most people. There is just something comforting about having a furry friend who loves you unconditionally and so many animals in Montana are currently looking for a home.

Including two Montana dogs that have a heartbreaking story.

A few weeks ago, a Montana woman was killed in a car crash just south of Livingston. The young mother was only 34 and left behind her children and her two pups. The kids are now with their Grandparents in another state, however, the two dogs are currently at the Stafford Animal Shelter in Livingston.

I had the chance to visit Stafford Animal Shelter recently and was able to meet both Dozer and Lighting and they were both delightful.

Dozer is a two-year-old mixed breed and Lighting is a three-year-old mixed breed. Both dogs are family and kid-friendly, and looking for their forever home. While it would be ideal to keep the two together, they can be separated.

Stafford Animal Shelter would like to remind pet owners that it's a good idea to have a plan in place for their animals in case of an untimely death, such as a Living Will.

How much are the adoption fees for Dozer and Lighting?

Thanks to the kind donation from Northwest Energy, the adoption fees have been waived for both dogs. So, if you're looking for a new furry family member, head over to Stafford Animal Shelter in Livingston and spend some time with Dozer and Lightning.

Stafford Animal Shelter is located at 3 Business Park Road in Livingston and is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 5 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome.
