4 Things Most Montanans Won’t Be Able To Afford In 5 Years
It certainly isn't breaking news that living in Montana is expensive, especially in the last few years.
As people from other parts of the country continue to move to Big Sky Country, we've seen huge increases in real estate, taxes, groceries, and other essentials. For many, making ends meet has become a very big challenge which has resulted in folks who were born and raised here, leaving to go to places that are a little more affordable.
For most of us, it's extremely frustrating and unfortunately, according to one source, it's only going to get tougher in the next few years.
The folks over at Yahoo Finance released a list of things that those in the middle class won't be able to afford in the next 5 years, and it's a little frightening. Now, keep in mind there's nothing on our list that would be considered a "luxury", these are basic items that up until a few years ago, were part of everyday life and not something most Montanans struggled with.
How did we get here?
That's a question that will result in a whole lot of opinions and finger-pointing. In typical 2024 fashion, most folks will place blame on the folks or "side" that they disagree with.
However, placing blame doesn't solve the problem, does it? The fact is, if these statistics are true, most Montanans are going to be up a creek without a paddle in just a few years and that should worry everyone living here in The Treasure State.
