Why Montana Is A Top Choice For Outdoor Adventures

People move to Montana for different reasons, one of the most popular reasons is for all of the outdoor activities.

Montana is home to some of the best fly fishing in the country, we have rivers to float, lakes to ski, mountains to climb, trails to hike, and wildlife to hunt. It truly is the last best place. The outdoors isn't something that only the locals enjoy, many people travel to Montana to have some of that outdoor adventure as well.

Oh, and did we mention the two National Parks? Both Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks bring in millions of folks each year to think out our beautiful state.

I was spending time searching on the internet when I came across a list of the Top 10 Most Outdoorsy College Towns from Travellytics and wasn't surprised to see that Montana made the list. I've talked to a lot of college students and former students who decided to go to school in Montana because of their love of the outdoors. It seems that the outdoor scene is enough to, in many cases travel across the country to a place that many of them have never been.

It won't come as a shock that Montana made the list not once, but twice. It also wont come as a shock to learn that both towns made the Top 5. Both Bozeman and Missoula made the list, but the question is, which one ranked higher?

According to the rankings, coming in at #4 is Bozeman, Montana. Bozeman of course is home to Montana State University and has access to multiple ski resorts within a short distance, not to mention tons of outdoor activities all year long.

Coming in at #3 is the town of Missoula, Montana. While Bobcat fans might disagree, Missoula just edged out Bozeman. Missoula is home to the University of Montana and also has close access to ski resorts not to mention a relatively short drive to Flathead Lake.
