Now that Montanans are putting winter behind them and looking forward to Spring and Summer, there's plenty of other events to consider adding to your calendar. Personally, I've got a whole list of things I can't wait to experience for the first time, including one event I never would've guessed was so popular in Big Sky Country.

When most people think of Montana, their minds jump to rodeos, country concerts, hiking, and other classic outdoor adventures. And while we do have some of the best events in those categories, it turns out we also host one of the top Renaissance Fairs in the entire country. Who would've thought?

If you've never been to a Renaissance fair, get ready to step back in time! These festivals bring the magic of the medieval era to life with kings, queens, knights, jousting, and bustling market scenes straight out of a storybook. The festivities usually include performances, historical reenactments, live music, and of course plenty of delicious food. And yes, you'll almost definitely spot a few people walking around with giant turkey legs in hand. I don't know if medieval people actually did that, but whatever we are here for it.

What can you expect at the festival?

  • Jousting
  • Raptor Show
  • Trick Riding ( Dancing On Horseback )
  • Tons of Live Music Performances

I can’t say I’ve ever attended one of these grand gatherings, but with the Montana Renaissance Festival earning such a noble honor, it seems a most worthy quest to embark upon!

Montana's Drunkest Towns For 2025

Montanans are known for a few things. 1. Being outdoors. 2. Being adventurous. 3. Being tough. 4. Enjoying a drink or two.

It's not a big secret that Montana has a few issues with drinking. We have high rates of DUI incidents, and Gallatin County was named the drunkest county in the entire United States. However, according to some new data, when it comes to the drunkest towns in Montana, we seem to have a new number one.
