Montanans are prideful people. We will defend our state, locals, and businesses to the end of time. What most folks don't realize is that several foods are either predominantly found or made in Big Sky Country.
Montana isn't known for being a food paradise, but we have some gems that folks often overlook.
What if we told you most of America has zero knowledge about a food item that grows in bunches in Montana?
We are talking about Huckleberries.

America is missing out on a delicious part of life.
Huckleberries grow in high elevations. That's why states like Washington, Idaho, Colorado, and Montana see huckleberries en masse yearly. It's part of our daily life.
Montanans add huckleberries to chocolate, ice cream, and even alcohol. Wherever you go in Montana, you will see something with huckleberries in it.
That's why I was bewildered when I learned that most of the Midwest, South, and East Coast have never heard about huckleberries.
I brought a few different bottles of huckleberry liquor to my friend in Kansas City, and he was thrilled because he can't get anything like this in the Midwest.
44 North Vodka, a liquor company out of Idaho, is a highly distributed Huckleberry Vodka, but it can only be found in Western states.
Could you imagine if all of America had access to this delicious treat daily? They would realize that huckleberry is the superior berry for everything.
Guess this will have to stay our little secret for now.
