Local Restaurant Replaces Cashiers With Kiosks
New self-serve technology has made its way into a well-known business here in Bozeman.
Many cities have been phasing out cashiers with self-checkout lines and kiosks, while we've only seen the self-checkout option move into Bozeman.
The McDonald's restaurant on Main and 15th has added touch-screen kiosks that customers can use to order their meals.
We tried out the kiosks during a recent visit to the restaurant and they worked well. Customers seemed to move through the ordering process quickly and there were not any noticeable hiccups.
Will we see other fast food restaurants make the same move? We will find out.
How do you feel about this move by McDonald's? Do you like it or are you going to miss ordering from an actual person every time you stop in?
