Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Whitefish, and Red Lodge get a lot of attention in Montana as some of the best places to go skiing. Mainly because they are the biggest, but the exposure that they receive also means a more expensive lift ticket. Unofficial Networks released a list of Five Small Ski Areas Are Worth Checking Out and one is right here in Montana.

This ski area rides along the Idaho/Montana border and can be pretty treacherous if it's snowing. Of course I am talking about Lookout Pass. If you can make it though it's worth every penny. Lift tickets are only $45 and they even offer FREE ski school. That's a pretty sweet deal among all the snow the consistently get year after year.

Check out Unofficial Networks for the full list and more details on Lookout Pass.
