“Thank You, Bozeman”: Michelle Bids Farewell After 30 Years

After 30 incredible years behind the mic, it’s time for me to step away from my daily post here at 94.7 The MOOSE and Mooseradio.com.

It’s hard to put into words what this community, this station, and each of you has meant to me—but I’ll give it my best shot.

When I first knocked on the station windows three decades ago, I had no idea what was ahead. I was just a kid with a passion for music, media, stories, and connection.

What I found was so much more: a job that welcomed me, a town that embraced me, an industry that shaped me, and a loyal audience that made every early morning or late-night shift worth it.

Bozeman has changed a lot over the years, but the heart of this place remains the same—warm, curious, and genuinely kind. And our listeners? You’ve been the soul of it all.

Whether it was sharing a laugh on your morning commute, a deep conversation during a call-in, or just knowing you were out there tuning in - I have felt it every single day and I'm very grateful for your friendship.

This isn’t goodbye to working life—not by a long shot. I’m excited to explore some new creative projects, maybe do some writing, and yes, probably still pop up behind a mic now and then in some form. Broadcasting and writing will always be part of who I am.

To my coworkers past and present at The MOOSE: thank you for the friendship, trust, lessons, and inspiration. To our sponsors, artists, and behind-the-scenes crews: thank you for making The MOOSE, The MOOSE.

And to you, our listeners—thank you for inviting me into your homes, your cars, and your lives. You’ve given me a gift that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. You've taught me what being a real part of a community means.

This isn’t a farewell—it’s just the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. I'll see you around, I promise.

What's Next for Bozeman, Montana's The Moose Radio

The MOOSE will be honoring Michelle’s extraordinary career in Bozeman with a special on-air tribute, featuring memorable moments, guest messages, and a retrospective of her contributions to the station and community.   

Details will be shared on mooseradio.com and across social media in the coming days. Her last day on-air will be Friday, August 29th.
