Join in celebrating National Farm to School Month! Throughout October, this nationwide program connects schools (K-12) and local farms with the objectives of serving healthy meals in school cafeterias, improving student nutrition, providing agriculture, health and nutrition education opportunities, and supporting local and regional farmers. Here's what you need to know about Montana's participation in National Farm to School Month:

From taste tests in the cafeteria and nutrition education activities in the classroom, to farm visits and school garden harvest parties, schools, preschools, communities and organizations in all 50 states and D.C. will be celebrating this October.

Individuals across Montana are invited to participate in Montana Crunch Time, a celebration of Food Day and National Farm to School Month, on Monday, October 26. Register to receive your Montana Crunch Time guide, recipes, activities, and other resources at opi.mt.gov.
