Livingston's Park High School has made the decision to forfeit the 2019 varsity football season.

School officials explained why Park High will not be competing in a press release on Friday:

We are concerned about the reality of 14-year old boys on the field competing against 18 and 19 year old young men.  Additionally, between current injuries, inexperience, and the low number of upperclassmen, we are unable to field a competitive varsity team.

Friday's varsity game between Livingston and Sidney will be a forfeit, but there will still be a junior varsity game at 4 p.m. between the schools.

For more information, questions or concerns, please contact Principals Lynne Scalia or Lori Dust at (406) 222-0448.
