Weather patterns in southwest Montana will be conducive for human-caused fires on Friday, August 16. It is recommended to use extreme caution while outdoors (especially on Friday afternoon). Details here:

A Critical Fire Weather Warning will be in effect for Friday, August 16, as a mainly dry cold front is expected to pass through much of southwest Montana. According to KBZK:

The combination of increasing winds, heat and low humidity will greatly increase the chances of a small fire erupting into a large fire. There is a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms into the weekend which could lead to new fire starts, however, the weather pattern on Friday will be conducive for human caused fires and we recommend you use extreme caution with outdoor activities.

West winds are also expected to increase Friday afternoon, as Relative Humidity values will be extremely low. Please use extreme caution with fire!
