According to Francis Kredensor, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Great Falls, the forecast for Saturday, February 1 could break a Bozeman record.

The warmest start to February in Bozeman was recorded on February 1, 1934. On that day, it was 62 degrees.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 55 degrees on Saturday. If it does get that warm, it will be the third highest temperature on record for February 1 in Bozeman.

Due to high temperatures and high winds in the forecast for Saturday, the National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for much of Montana.
