It's not rare in Montana for a business to have an office dog, but I FINALLY got to meet the crown jewel of animal employees - Axle the cat at Belgrade Sales & Service. I had been told about Axle many times...the popular mascot amongst wonderful (human) employees and a vast selection of lawn mowers and chainsaws.

What was once a sun-drenched, private corner cat sanctuary table with a plush cat bed on top of an elevated table...is now completely covered by various flower and vegetable seedlings. Every square inch of that gorgeous, bright corner of the room is packed with plastic trays.

In honor of "Shark Week", someone uploaded a video of their cat wearing a shark costume, while riding around the kitchen on a Roomba. I love how the cat is totally cool with the costume and with this device that bangs into stuff. Oh, and I love how the owner is shucking corn in the background like it's no big deal.

Cats already have remarkable hearing skills, but a gray feline in Russia found with five ears takes the cake for impressive hearing ability. According to Vladimir Obryvkov of the Voronezh State University of Agriculture, the cat -- named Luntya -- has two normal ears, two extra ears located just in front of those and then an additional tiny fifth ear.
