Literally every single county in Montana is under a Heat Advisory, a Red Flag Fire Weather Warning or both for on Wednesday. It's hot, dry and dangerous.
Temperatures between 95 and 105 along with dangerous conditions exist through Monday night for Missoula, Butte, Bozeman, Helena, Billings, Great Falls and everywhere in between.
Why have one advisory when you can worry about two or more? Gallatin County along with several others across Montana are struggling with another day of extremely hot and dry conditions.
As you can see from the map below, Gallatin County and a few others in southwest Montana are being spared the vicious triple-digit daytime highs that are plaguing most of the state this week.
West and northwest Montana (such as Missoula, Helena, Great Falls and Havre) are under a Heat Advisory for Tuesday through Friday (7/2). Counties that don't already have some sort of advisory in effect may get their own in the coming days as very high temps are on their way.
Temps over 100 degrees will be common for most of the NE quarter of Montana on Wednesday. (Glasgow, Wolf Point, Malta, Plentywood, Sidney.) The Heat Advisory lasts until at least 9pm on Wednesday evening.
Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are real possibilities for those working outdoors this weekend in northwest Montana. High temps are making dehydration a real problem.
