If you're traveling through central Idaho soon, be aware that Magic Reservoir has water running over it's spill way and West Magic Road has experienced recent flooding.

The southern region of Gallatin County along the Montana/Idaho border is included in this weekend's Winter Weather Advisory. Mountain passes will experience hazardous travel conditions with up to 12" of snow possible.

Gusts up to 45 mph could make travel dangerous in parts of Idaho on Monday. Both Pocatello and Idaho Falls are included in this Advisory for Monday.

You'll be off the beaten path but not TOO far. Halfway between Sandpoint and Libby in the Kaniksu National Forest, you'll find the Cabinet Mountains.

If you're traveling through Idaho today, heed caution as there may be wind gusts up to 45mph. The Lower Snake River Plain is under a Wind Advisory until 8pm.

I have to give it up to this meteorologist from Twin Falls, Idaho. Nick Kosir wrote and performed a rap about his news station...and it's actually pretty good. The US Forest Service has identified the firefighter killed while combating a wildfire in Idaho Sunday afternoon as Anne Veseth (VEE-sith), 20, a seasonal firefighter for the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has just offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this incident. Details here:

Ever heard of Brundage Mountain in McCall, Idaho? Me neither...although I've driven through McCall about a hundred times. Well, the boys of Toy Soldier Productions spent 4 days there and brought back the proof.
