Big Sky Resort will be host to Spruce Moose 2013 on Friday August 30th and Saturday August 31st and the huge white VIP tent will be host to the VIP area. A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF VIP TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE.

We are pleased to announce that founding member of Jurassic 5, entrepreneur, musician, and renaissance man – Chali2na – will be joining the Spruce Moose lineup playing on August 31 at Big Sky Resort!

Did you know that Ozomatli have a kids album? It's called OZOKIDZ, and the first track on the album is called "Moose on the Loose". It's about coming across a moose in the backwoods while recreating. Sounds like they might have to play that for the crazy kids in Big Sky, MT during the 3rd annual Spruce Moose Festival, no? Listen to it here:

Don't let this Spanish language song scare ya, they speak perfect English. HOWEVER, "La Gallina" is the perfect get up off your rump and get down with your bad self song to get acquainted with Ozomatli. They'll be headlining Friday night August 30th, 2013 at Spruce Moose on the mountain at Big Sky Resort.

It was released in 2007, but somehow I was completely unaware of the band Galactic's album "Corner to the Block".  Technically Galactic has a funk band label but, as with all awesome musicians, they don't put labels on their music. For good reason...

The last weekend of August in 2013 is going to show Big Sky Resort the biggest party it's ever had with the Spruce Moose Festival 2013 featuring Ozomatli and Galactic. Here's why:

The funky quintet known as Galactic was formed nearly 20 years ago in New Orleans. They started playing in their city's, and our country's, biggest party: Mardi Gras. They are well accustomed to playing a huge all night celebration, and still bring that same stamina and energy to every stage they take. Some say Galactic goes beyond your usual concert experience. Reigning from New Orleans, Galactic has been together for over 18 years with no set lead singer and collaborations galore! Using collaborations and revue's (virtual shows featuring different vocalists), the band will create what they call a Galactic Sound Universe up on the 2013 Spruce Moose stage.

Ozomatli was born and bred in Los Angeles and we are excited to welcome them to the 2013 Spruce Moose. They began as a musical protest group performing at labor protests, inner-city elementary schools, community events and city fundraisers. The city of Los Angeles officially declared April 23rd "Ozomatli Day" in recognition of the band's efforts.
