Visiting Bozeman this summer? Help me help you. I'm not here to beat up on tourists that are so vital to our local economy, but I AM here to make your vacation a bit more hassle free, for those of us who are already dealing with an enormous influx of new residents and a larger Montana State population.
Put plainly, I think perhaps people are getting pissed about paying hundreds of dollars per night for a middle-of-the-road hotel room around Bozeman. It seems that there are more and more fairly bad reviews of even our well thought of establishments.
Free entrance days to our National Parks are awesome. They're even better when the place is not a zoo, with bumper-to-bumper traffic. November is that time so plan now for the last fee-free day of 2021.
The LA Times on Monday morning reports that you will be able to fly from Burbank, CA to Bozeman, MT for $38 round trip. The rental car? That will cost you over $2,000 for the week. What about Billings? Wait for it...
We spent time asking long time Bozeman residents what they want new residents to know. What to do. More importantly, what NOT to do. Big things. Small things. Many of these items should apply to visitors too.
