Now before everyone loses their minds on me, let me explain. This is data the Southern Poverty Law Center has released. I am just the messenger, and the saying goes, "Don't Shoot The Messenger".

According to the study, Montana is ranked Number 1 with the Most Hate Groups. Hate groups are apparently divided into different types of groups (racist skinheads to anti-migrant, etc), and after years of observation, the numbers are back, and Montana...this is not good.

How did the Southern Poverty Law Center come up with this "Hate Group" theory? Well, they define a hate group as:

"The Southern Poverty Law Center defines a hate group as an organization or collection of individuals that – based on its official statements or principles, the statements of its leaders, or its activities – has beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics" -Southern Poverty Law Center

With the increase in hate groups throughout America, jumping in 2018 to 1,020, it has been more difficult to track the number of groups, being there are so many.

It is shown in their study that states throughout the country that have so many hate groups, tend to share some common factors. One being that the state is most likely not very racially diverse. Another common factory is that states with higher numbers of hate groups, are also low median income homes with high poverty rates.

Montana's apparent largest hate group is: Last Chance Patriots. Again, I am just the messenger here Montana, so please don't yell at me. Let's spread the LOVE and not the HATE.
