I have come to the conclusion that there is perhaps some confusion in the state of Montana. I have noticed this a lot more lately, and maybe it's because I am getting older, crabbier, and perhaps a little more irritable. OR maybe it's because I am following the law and don't drive like I have my head in the clouds.

Now I don't know if I can technically blame people from out of state, although as I glance at the license plates of those doing this, they have been from out of state more than they have been from in-state.

What am I actually talking about? Road signs.

What in the world is going on? This isn't just people speeding down the road going 50 in a 40 or 40 in a 25.  I'm also talking about the people that just whip a u-turn in the middle of 19th or at every red light they can. It's like a game they play, "how many u-turns can I make without getting smacked?"

Then there are the people that clearly forgot what "right on red" means. In case you are reading this and have no clue what I am talking about, it means when you come to a red light, WITH YOUR BLINKER ON, you can turn right even if the light is not green, provided there's no oncoming traffic.

TAKE ROAD QUIZ HERE. I have included this road sign quiz to see if you are part of the problem or just need some refreshing.

Onto round-a-bouts. I mean, these were created to make things run more smoothly. These are not four-way stops. Not everyone needs to completely stop, hence the reason there are not four stop signs and it's in the shape of a circle.

I am also convinced that the blinking yellow arrow for a left turn has completely thrown some people through a loop. Here is the easiest way to understand that "mysterious blinking yellow light": treat it like a yield sign. There ya go. It's that simple.

Also, when driving through a construction zone, SLOW DOWN. My goodness, there are people working and standing out there, the least you can do is not put their life in danger.

ALSO, these signs mean you should try to get into the other lane as soon as it is safe. What these signs do NOT mean is that you should floor it trying to get in front of everyone just to cut someone off 5 seconds later. No one likes that.

What makes you crazy? I can't be the only one who is yelling swears 4-6 times a day, to myself of course, not to the clueless other drivers.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
