It's official, President Donald Trump will be making his third trip of the campaign season to Montana.

Trump is scheduled to speak at a rally for Republican Senate candidate Matt Rosendale in Missoula on October 18.

Rumors of a Trump visit were heating up Thursday morning before the news was confirmed by state GOP officials.

Rosendale is locked in a heated battle with the incumbent Democrat, Senator Jon Tester, as election day nears.

Trump campaigned for Rosendale earlier this year in Great Falls and again in Billings.

Donald Trump Jr. and Vice President Mike Pence have both made the trip to Montana recently on Rosendale's behalf, signs that Republicans think this is a race that can be won.

Rosendale will visit Missoula before Trump arrives by hosting a Get Out the Vote event at the City Life Community Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 13.

More details on the president's visit to Missoula will be announced in the coming days.
