Although the City recently sold Bozeman's historic Story Mansion to a non-profit, concerns regarding preservation and public access remain. I'm happy to report that it appears Exergy will do the right things, including carrying on with their fun, public events. I attended their Victorian Holiday Tea fundraiser yesterday. It was delightful old chap, simply devine!

With the City's acceptance of the sale to a non-profit organization, the next phase of the 100 year old Story Mansion's use will be led by Exergy, a major developer of renewable energy projects and technologies. The organization has deep Montana roots and will preserve the mansion as a usable, historic icon with public access.

The mansion's first floor and lawn will function much as it has under City operation and Friends of the Story promotional events. Friends of the Story Mansion is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the mansion as a thriving educational, cultural and social center.

One such event is their Victorian Holiday Tea, which I was pleased to support yesterday. I lived in Enlgand for a year and one of my favorite cultural experiences their was attending afternoon tea. There's nothing like dressing up, drinking tea out of nice china, and filling up on finger food and sweets. I'd like to not only commend Exergy for once again bringing back such a unique event to Bozeman, but also for doing it right. I felt like I was posing as an English gentleman all over again.
